In its monthly feature „Learning to fly“, Infogreen has published two contributions about +ImpaKT, the first article describing our activities in relation to the Circular Economy (CE), the second highlighting the Circulab training we offer.
What is Circulab and why do we like it?
There are many ways to introduce the subject of CE, but Circulab is certainly one of the most interactive and creative ways.
The tool has been developed by the french start-up Wiithaa. It is a serious game with the objective of giving novices an understanding of the CE. One training session takes 2 hours, it starts with a short introduction to the CE and explanations on how it differs from linear economy, followed by the game Circulab.
+ImpaKT contributes to the constant improving of the game by translating it into a german version.
How does Circulab work?
On the basis of the business model of a chosen company, participants can understand the challenges and opportunities of a shift towards circularity. A new approach enables a broader view on the impacts a company causes, considering the key activities, partners, resources, added value, logistics and waste management. In order to function in a circular economy and close the loops, we need to consider every step of the process, starting at the very beginning with the design phase.
With action cards and different scenarios, the creativity of the participants is required to find solutions to keep the material quality and product value at a high level.
