Ontology-based Decentralized Sharing of Industry Data in the European Circular Economy (Onto-DESIDE)

Client : Horizon Europe – EU Research and Innovation Project
Période : 2022-2025

The Onto-DESIDE project (Ontology-based Decentralized Sharing of Industry Data in the European Circular Economy) aims to enhance semantic interoperability and decentralized data sharing among industry actors by developing a network of ontologies and an open circularity platform. The initiative is designed to facilitate secure and privacy-preserving data exchange, enable digital twins of circular value flows, and support new circular value chain configurations. The project also seeks to demonstrate and quantify the potential for increased value retention through real-world validation in three distinct industry sectors.

+ImpaKT’s contributions included:

  • Task Lead for the textile use case, in collaboration with Texon and circular.fashion, testing the Product Circularity Data Sheet (PCDS) alongside the circularity.ID product passport to enable seamless data exchange across the value chain.
  • Task Lead for mapping existing standards, covering both product data and IT architecture to ensure alignment with industry frameworks.
  • Contribution to defining business requirements for the development of the Open Circularity Platform, ensuring practical implementation for industry stakeholders.

Through its contributions, +ImpaKT plays a key role in advancing decentralized circular economy data systems, fostering interoperability, and supporting the scalability of circular business models across industries.
